The Lido.

We excitedly stumbled upon a magical Lido the other week in Bristol (which i just discovered was originally opened in 1850). You would never even know it was there because it's hidden away from the relative bustle of Clifton village, sandwiched in between rows of houses. Surrounding the outdoor swimming pool is a wonderful little cafe serving some delicious looking tapas as well as cream tea! We settled on a pot of rose-bud tea and a hot chocolate. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

  1. Mmmm. I would love a cuppa of rose hips right now. I think finding hidden gems is one of the best feelings in the world. :)

  10. So sweet. They do really delicious Portuguese custard tarts. Actually their (pastry) chef has recently started Hart's Bakery which is on my to do list - sounds really nice.
