The skin I live in was bizarre yet amazing, In a Better World was very good indeed, I preferred the second part of Melancholia, I am still undecided about 50/50, Vera Drake was rather grim and Cell 211 was like an episode of Oz.
I saw The Skin I Live In quite recently and I still don't know what I actually think about this movie. It was really really bizzare, as you say, but the end surprised me quite a lot and that's what I like about movies.
Oh and I really liked 50/50. I think it was mostly because of the sympathetic James Gordon-Levitt ;)
Also, I've been planning on watching Melancholia for quite some time and I already started watching but somehow it didn't catch my attention enough to stay and watch the whole thing. I knew it was kind of a different genre from what I'M used to, but still, found it pretty hard. Maybe I'll give it another try some time soon :)
yes, I agree with melancholia, at the first it was little bit unconvincing, but later on I totally fell for movie, special Kirsten, she is fantastic! 50/50 didn't like it so much, it could be a good movie, but end was so predictable and boring. But James was excellent, that's true :)
I've read about The Skin I live in, it sounds very bizarre but interesting. I will have to put it on my to-watch list. I've also been thinking about watching Melancholia but haven't got around to it yet.
I really liked 50/50, I'm not sure why, I think just because it's easy to watch and it's cute and I liked the cast. I was kind of reminiscent of 500 days of summer, or something else like Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Quite nostalgic & didn't require too much thinking. I'm clearly a bit of a simpleton! :)

I really enjoyed Melancholia, I liked that the whole way though I simply presumed it was a film about mental health but no!
