Delicacy was a real emotional one where Audrey Tautou was rather marvellous (the best role I had seen her in since Amelie). Hollywoo slowly dragged by like a made for tv movie. The Wizard of Oz on a Sunday afternoon - Perfect. Martha Marcy May Marlene stayed with me for days after. It is a hard film to shake but it was completely fascinating. I wanted some scares from The Woman in Black but I just found it a bit stale. A cat in Paris was tres magnicifent - a joy to look at!

Oh yes Delicacy was wonderful. I highly recommend it Yewon. Amelie is also a great name for a shop :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of some of these before but will be sure to check a few out. I'm torn with haunting films. I want to see them but they speak to something deep down in my soul and I'm haunted by them for a while. Have you seen 'Melancholia'? There was something about that which got me.
ReplyDeleteHi Emily - I have seen Melancholia and I found the second half very unnerving!
DeleteMartha Macy May Marlene is on my Love Film list - looking forward to watching it : )
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it sent out soon and enjoy it!
