On a drive through Wiltshire last weekend we did a double take as we went past this intriguing little building so had to quickly park up and go explore it in detail. We weren't sure if there was going to be anyone inside when we tentatively opened the door, but it was just us, so many photographs and a visitors book to show who else had ventured inside. It was an amazing pictorial history of the surrounding area by a man called Ray Pope started in the 1970s. It was such a wonderful surprise to stumble upon this magical place!

  3. What a fascinating place! I love popping into those kinds of stores.

I love that picture of the Kilburn White Horse. When I was up the tower in York Minster it was pointed out on a map and I wish I could have gone to see it in person.
