12 years a slave was sort of what I had expected after all the hype but I thought I had better give it a watch. We are the best was just brilliant (I have always been a Lukas Moodysson fan so this was just a dream). Prince Avalanche was thoroughly entertaining - such a good story and very funny. Breaking upwards was definitely as interesting relationship themed film but I found the couple just a bit annoying. Before I go to sleep was definitely not the tense film I had hoped for - oh so predictable. Ida was absolutely wonderful.

I just loved We Are The Best - such a great, uplifting, happy film, I loved the girls and their attitudes. It's definitely in my top 5 films of 2014 (a list rounded off with Pride, Mistaken For Strangers, The Punk Singer and Boyhood)
ReplyDeleteAh We are the best was so wonderful - such a good cast! Ooh top 5 films of 2014...I'm with you on Boyhood and We are the best. Would add Her and Grand Budapest and can't think of another 2014 one as I'm always a bit behind with the recent releases :)
DeleteActually I can now add Lilting to that list...it was a powerful one..
DeleteI sadly missed Lilting when it came out. I've heard good things about Ida so must give it a watch!
